Underwater Selfie

Never let it be said that I don’t take this blogging malarkey seriously.

After flying to the edge of the atmosphere the other day, I thought I’d go somewhere else where there’s little air.

At the stroke of midnight, I plunged into the chilly waters of the Lake. VERY chilly, what with the snow and everything recently.

While I was on my extended break away from blogging, I spent a little time in the Laboratory and developed my latest invention: my underwater mobile phone. And what a better way to try out its camera feature.

Granted, I hadn’t given that much thought to the telephony side of being underwater, but I didn’t have anyone to call at midnight anyway. And I haven’t yet developed the ability to talk underwater, well, without sounding like a fart in a bathtub… I can’t really dip my head underwater, if truth be told, so the fact that I plunged beneath the waves for a Selfie (two actually!) could be considered a miracle in itself. I used to go into a blind panic when I had to dunk for apples years ago.

So.

There I was, swimming around in the Lake at midnight. I took a deep breath and went under the surface and ‘snapped’ away. Most of the photos were rubbish (the phone leaked) but I did manage to retrieve the two on this post before the phone sizzled, squeaked and gave up the ghost. I’ve heard putting a wet phone in rice should help to dry it out, but I decided not to bother with this one. As I mentioned: it was only an experiment.

Perhaps not one of my better ideas (I have a bit of a sniffle now) but at least I have another couple of random Selfies for the blog. And just look at that hair!

Always looking for something different. Well, a change is as good as a rest!

    Interesting invention! 🙂

Don’t worry about using the phone underwater – the world is crying out for a rain proof phone!!! 🙂

    God Bless!

      That’s very true, Prenin.
I think I’ll have a look into a miniature umbrella that automatically pops up out of the phone when it rains. That may help! 😉

Good thing the Plesiosaurs grab you under and have you for dinner! I think Prenin is correct in thinking a waterproof phone is well in the works, maybe even created already. Perhaps you could whip up one that works between dimensions! That would be great for staying in touch as we fly about 🙂 VK

The plesi around here’s vegetarian, VK… I didn’t see him, come to think of it.
Now, an interdimensional phone would be very useful!

    A neat selfie indeed,
now all we need is more
    of those naughty cave
    dwellers of the female
    kind and we’ve cracked
    it, or cracked something,
    depending on the mood 😉

    Have fun today Tom 🙂

Thank you… I’m amazed they turned out as they did, Icewolf, considering it was pitch black and all.
And yes, being underwater is really the only place where one’s hair can look like that and actually look OK.
