Never let it be said that I don’t take this blogging malarkey seriously.
After flying to the edge of the atmosphere the other day, I thought I’d go somewhere else where there’s little air.
At the stroke of midnight, I plunged into the chilly waters of the Lake. VERY chilly, what with the snow and everything recently.
While I was on my extended break away from blogging, I spent a little time in the Laboratory and developed my latest invention: my underwater mobile phone. And what a better way to try out its camera feature.
Granted, I hadn’t given that much thought to the telephony side of being underwater, but I didn’t have anyone to call at midnight anyway. And I haven’t yet developed the ability to talk underwater, well, without sounding like a fart in a bathtub… I can’t really dip my head underwater, if truth be told, so the fact that I plunged beneath the waves for a Selfie (two actually!) could be considered a miracle in itself. I used to go into a blind panic when I had to dunk for apples years ago.
So.
There I was, swimming around in the Lake at midnight. I took a deep breath and went under the surface and ‘snapped’ away. Most of the photos were rubbish (the phone leaked) but I did manage to retrieve the two on this post before the phone sizzled, squeaked and gave up the ghost. I’ve heard putting a wet phone in rice should help to dry it out, but I decided not to bother with this one. As I mentioned: it was only an experiment.
Perhaps not one of my better ideas (I have a bit of a sniffle now) but at least I have another couple of random Selfies for the blog. And just look at that hair!

Always looking for something different. Well, a change is as good as a rest!
