Then it was gone

Is it a mirage?
A figment? Distant ghostly laughter far out to sea?
And an object of my imagination?
Out there on the horizon is a pirate ship. Large and solid although blackened by shadow. It appears at the same place at the same time every night. And a minute later it fades from view. Not that it goes behind the rocks; oh no. It dissolves. It literally disappears from view within an eerie mist. And when the mist clears, the ship is gone as well.
The echoing laughter fades away several seconds later, then all is calm once more.

Nah – the ocean’s just outside of the Grinds, down the river, VK. The Grinds will tell you anything!
But yes, always entertaining here – there’s always something unusual going on somewhere!
