Success and Irony

A quick Bubbles post today, focussing on success and irony. Mostly irony. These quotes were all found online, but I donโ€™t know who said what, unfortunately.

All food for thought, Tom for a Friday or Saturday as I now read this. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks, Tess. So you’re ahead of UK time then? Time zones baffle me completely… I always thought you were a few hours behind for some reason…

We are behind, four hours I think. It’s 3:47 p.m. here.

Five hours then, as it’s 9pm now here.
I’ve been thinking today was Saturday all day today. I’m easily confused.

New York Yankee legend, Yogi Berra, first said, “It’s like deja-vu, all over again.” Yogi was notorious for making “Yogiisms” including “You can observe a lot by watching”, “Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical”, “It ain’t over ’til it’s over”, etc. Yogi’s a beloved old timer here in New York. You’d likely like him, Tom.

Thanks for this, LA. He sounds like a fun character. He also sounds like the other Yogi (the bear), which I would presume is no coincidence.

Would this qualify for your list? Formula for success: Rise early, work hard, strike oil. Allegedly said by J. Paul Getty.

I think it fits in fine, Rebecca.
Rise early and work hard describes me… I’m still waiting for the striking oil bit, however!
