Sudden thoughts

Please Be Strong
A familiar face appears within my mind’s eye…
An unforgettable face, no matter how I try.
A kind face, a peaceful face, but one without a smile,
A sad face, a lonely face, seemingly lonely for a while.
A confused face, an old face, pleasant all the same,
A lost face, a needy face, a face with just one name.
Florence, I say within, and her eyes glow big and bright
Her elfin looks younger than the age she is tonight.
She’s reaching out for something, and getting through to me,
Although what she needs isn’t clear; try harder, please, for me.
She remembers clearly days gone by, then drifts away again
When you’re stronger, I think to her, please come through again.

I wasn’t going to add a post today, but just before I was about to go to bed a thought of Florence came to me again. I haven’t time to write a new post before midnight, but I have a feeling she wanted me to post this again anyway.

I hope you’re well, Florence! Thank you for coming through to me again!

That’s a nice way to think of her, Deb, and I think Florence likes that too!

I am so pleased that you reposted your Sudden thoughts.. and they included Florence,.. This is my first visit with this lady, but she seems to want you to know she is with you in her thoughts also, and for that I know she brings comfort.. … So I thank you for your repost .. 🙂

And thank you for your comment, Sue!
Florence was a patient in the hospital ward when I visited last year, she was very confused and seemed very timid. My Mum wished her a speedy recovery when we left, but her face kept on appearing in my mind’s eye afterward, which was why I posted this rhyme originally. She appeared to me again the other night, completely out of the blue, which prompted me to re-post it. And yes, she does bring a feeling of comfort with her! 🙂
