Thomasina burped elegantly as she finished her beans on toast. She placed her plate and cutlery into the dishwasher and turned to retire to her boudoir. She was startled to see Tomette standing in the doorway. “What on Earth are you wearing?” Thomasina asked, eyeing the eighties inspired ensemble Tomette had on.
“I could ask you the same thing,” Tomette snapped back. “What have you done to your hair?”
Thomasina tapped the side of her unruly red perm.
Fingers clambered up to Tomette’s shoulder and whispered, “dtscirat her wtih smehtonig ncie abuot her arpon.” He clambered back down and snuck behind Thomasina without being noticed by her.
“I must say, Thomasina,” Tomette gritted her teeth, “that apron you are wearing is very fetching. Is it new?”
Thomasina smoothed down the front of her apron and said, “This old thing? Nah, I’ve had it for years.” She noticed the apron had started to become loose, so she reached behind herself to tie the bow tighter.
Fingers leapt from his hiding spot and grabbed Thomasina’s arms behind her, holding them firmly in place.
“Unhand me, Fingers!” Thomasina protested but couldn’t get herself free.
“Srroy, Tsinhomaa, but no can do. Or should I say Tom Toetoe. Now, Tmmuy!”
“Who?” Thomasina was caught up in a whir of confusion. Tummy appeared from outside the Kitchen, stepping passed Tomette, who watched on with an amused look on her face. Tummy was unravelling his bandages, and thanks to his Ancient Egyptian art of bandage charming, made them wrap tightly around her ankles. Fingers then moved Thomasina’s arms around to her front, and Tummy bound them with some of his bandages as well.
“I will not stand for this!” Thomasina complained. “What are you all dmfgmnf.” Tummy wrapped a bandage around Thomasina’s mouth to stop her complaining.
Tomelangelo, the Honourable Tom, and Tombie then entered the Kitchen where between them they managed to lift Thomasina, who was still complaining beneath her mouth bandage.
“Quickly!” Tomette commanded, “Get her to the laboratory, we have an operation to perform.”
Nobody saw Thomasina’s eyes widen.
