Here’s another out-take from Clark and my epic multi-parter, ‘… of Heroes and the Misunderstood’. My character, Moonbeam, and Clark’s character, Rue, find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation in this instalment, set in an airport. Denise’s prompt word this week is Frequency.

With their personal spaces about to be seriously compromised, Moonbeam and Rue DeNite, with an unspoken understanding, decided to go for the ‘fight’ option in this particular fight or flight scenario; Moonbeam drew down his dark energies, whilst Rue elegantly placed her right hand on the IcelandDirect desk and slightly bent her right knee as she leant.
Moonbeam threw blobs of his dark essence at the black and white clad security closest to him as Rue placed her left hand on the desk and used both of her legs to powerfully kick away the security closest to her. The more who fell, the more replaced them.
The blonde-haired clerk on the desk grabbed hold of Rue’s shoulders, pulling her back towards the desk, but with her nimble agility and upper body strength, Rue managed to twist herself free, catching another of the zombie-like security guards squarely in his face with her elbow.
Arms and hands grabbed both Moonbeam and Rue with increasing frequency as they became overwhelmed by the sheer number people that now surrounded them.
‘That will be all…’ a male voice boomed out over the cacophony of grunts and winces; the throng of security staff slowly moved away, although Rue elbowed one final man between his shoulders for good measure.
