The Meditation Room

Walk with me into The Meditation Room.

It’s an indigo-coloured room, most relaxing, with the walls and ceiling covered in cloud-like constellations.

We take our seat on a luxuriously soft sofa, which seems to wrap itself around us.

We sit for a moment, and take a deep breath in and then slowly breathe out.

We allow our breathing to return to normal, and just listen to the sound of our breathing for a few seconds.

We select one of the wall panels to focus on, and watch as the stars begin to gently shimmer and sparkle.

The stars seem to start to move around on the wall, creating shapes we can clearly make out.

The dancing of the stars is mesmerising, almost hypnotic.

Bringing our attention back into the room, we realise someone has joined us on the sofa.

We feel comfort, joy and gratitude that this ‘being’ has sat beside us. There’s a warmth we feel in our hearts; our visitor has known us throughout our lives.

With a soothing voice, we hear, in our minds, ‘do you have a question?’

We sit and ponder the question. If one springs to mind, we ask it, if not, we sit in silence… our helper patiently understands.

We find ourselves watching the moving constellations again, in the room this time and not only on the wall panel. The universe seems to be swirling around us. In the distance we see the Milky Way with a bright sparkle of light that indicates where home is.

We see an object appear in our mind’s eye, and know that this object is symbolic to something in our life. If we asked a question, it may provide part of the answer, if not the answer itself. If we had no question, the object will be highlighting something in our awareness.

We watch as the object fades back into the swirling constellations.

We find ourselves once again in the room, and our friend is now about to leave.

They ask us to hold out our hands, as they have a gift for us. They place their gift across our palms, and then say their farewells. They, or another of our friends, will be back should we choose to visit this room again.

We look at their parting gift to us. A special item that holds a personal and relevant meaning to us.

We give our thanks for the gift as we close our eyes and lean back into the comfort of the sofa.

We breathe in deeply and slowly, and then out again, just as slowly.

When we next open our eyes, we are no longer in The Meditation Room, but back in our own space, feeling totally relaxed.

And with a broad smile, we can go about our day.

How totally original and sweet. Even an ‘unsexual embrace’ wasn’t needed, although I’m a tactile person. To experience similar, deep feelings, can be very satisfying. Innocent, warm thoughts. Cheers.

It’s a nice way to relax, Joy. A place where we have everything we need.

Looks like the mansion has been busy updating itself to fit in with a changing world. Nice room indeed. We all need to be taking slow breaths these days and learning how to withdraw ourselves from the drama swirling around us and just be still within ourselves. Therein lies true peace….Thanks TL…Happy weekend…VK
