I wished I’d never bothered.
It all started out as an experiment. For the blog, you understand. The blog started out as an experiment way back in 2010, and I’m always up for trying something different.
So I did.
I uploaded a photo of myself into the AI art generator I use, to use as a base image:

I used the lowest setting, expecting a slightly different version of myself. Instead, I got:

I mean to say! What’s with the hair… the eyebrows… and the fake moustache!!! (Long time visitors will actually get what’s with the hair, but I’ll leave this for now!) The AI bot decided to play funny, I thought.
I clicked create again, and got:

Slightly better. The bot must’ve realised it had made me a little grumpy.
The next creation went… erm…

And after that, I felt like I’d been catapulted into the future.
Thirty years forward (stop sniggering!):

Sixty years forward (look, I did this experiment to make myself look younger, so I can at least pretend!):

Seventy-five years forward (I have nothing to add):

So, I thought to myself, if these images are created on the lowest setting, that means minimal changes to the original picture (I ask you!), what would happen if I changed the setting, and cranked it up to the max?
I got:

Which would normally go without saying, but this time methinks the AI bot is trying to push it a little.
Take this as a warning… AI yourself at your peril!!!
