MPP Prompt: Legend

Welcome to the Mansionic Pioneer Poem prompt for November. Write a Pioneer Poem either on your own blog (linking back to here) or in the comments below, using the following prompt as a guide.

Legend

What’s a Pioneer Poem? Thank you for asking. It’s a poetic style that gets you thinking!

Each line can be up to five syllables in length – but no more than five.

The first word on each line is the rhyming word. So lines 1 and 2 will have a rhyming word, then 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and so on.

The number of lines is up to you. However, the first two lines must be repeated as the last two lines in the poem, the opposite way around. So, basically, line 1 begins and ends the poem, and line 2 is the second and penultimate line.

The poem can be nonsense, as long as it conveys the overall theme.

Have fun!

Sounds a great Challenge… And one I am sure those who love these poems will take up… While I love reading such poetry, my own poems are haphazard in nature in that they write themselves with no rules :-)..
You are indeed a Legend Tom.. .. ❤ Hugs

      Thanks, Sue! 😊
No worries! This was something I started a few months ago and just decided to keep going on a monthly basis for those who’d like to have a go.
Your poetry has your own form, Sue.
