Sands of the Mind

I search
But all around I see
Are sands
That drift before me
Like
The time that passes
And the winds that blow
Ideas are dust
Scattered
And fading
Before me so…
On the wind
I inspiration take
From the sandy bed of a dried up lake
To the rolling dunes that lie ahead
I know
My hungry imagination
Will soon be fed

At least your grains of sand are free and blowing about, not held captive within an hour glass! Let free thinking loose and rebuild a brave new world! Embrace that imagination TL….VK πŸ™‚

I resonate with the feeling of aimlessness and soul-searching in your poem.
