I think the first one looks more angel-like. Oh, but these are a little scary. They remind me of those statues that moved when your back was turned in an old Doctor Who story.
I remember that story, Chris. “Blink” or something the first episode to feature them was called. But I mean to say: who would think to make an Angel scary? This is a lovely Angel, so no need to worry!
I remember it because the Doctor wasn’t really in the episode very much – it focused on a new character Sally Sparrow or somebody. As you can see it left a sort of lasting impression! 😀
Hehehe! Just keep your eyes open, you’ll be fine. As for Jemma, she usually calls on Matt Smith for help doesn’t she? The Weeping Angels are more of a David Tennant thing.
Thanks, CM, but nothing intentional here… I just took the photo of the Angel in front of light! 🙂 It may be the pose suggesting something else, but my psychological mind is clouded over at present! 😁
The angel with the light symbolizes a benevolent angel, or an angel receiving benevolence, IMO. The angel by itself in shadow symbolizes mystery, especially when contrasted with the angel in light. Why is the second angel without the light? Is something being obscured? That’s my mind creating a story… As you can see, I tend to over-analyze… 🙂
Ooh no, I love this! Like I mentioned, I took the photo without thinking about any symbolisations, so how you see the images is fascinating. Over-analyse away is what I say!
(Not wanting to shatter any illusions, but the sunburst in the first photo was added in edit afterwards…)
As for story creating… create away! Thanks, CM!
That’s the one, I hate that music, when I was young I used to stay at my grandmas house with my sister and cousin’s whilst all the adults went out for a drink. I was forced to watch that programme and the one where angels tore someone’s heart out still sits in my memory 😱

Now you’ve gone and made me look it up. I hope I won’t have nightmares… or worse. Let’s hope Jemma Kirk hasn’t seen ‘Blink’.;)

I cannot decide, as they are both interesting shots. Chris might be right though, they are a little menacing…

It must be the lighting, Jenanita. This Angel’s a good one! 🙂

Oh, yes! No worries, Beverly, this isn’t a dark Angel. 🙂

Both are lovely IMO. The second one is more mysterious… 🙂 Some psychology of symbolism is going on here.

The one with the light of course….That is the one I choose. We can use all the light we can get…Let it shine forth…..VK 🙂

I agree, I think we should be spreading light whenever we can, VK!

I like the added interest of the sunburst. It’s interesting what a difference it makes.

I agree. Even though it doesn’t affect the picture itself, it appears to do so!

Can you remember those Mystery and imagination tv programmes years ago on a Saturday night, they were really scary!

Can’t say I do, Elaine… unless you’re referring to The Tales Of The Unexpected (I still love that theme tune to this day!)

I suppose if the show frightened you, then you wouldn’t like the music. I don’t remember that episode, thankfully, but they always had a twist!

Trust not Angels my friend.
Lucifer himself was once an Angel… 🙂 ❤
Lovely shots Tom, the first one with the sunburst looks the most Angelic. 🙂 ❤
