July is here, and so are two new blogging challenges.
Becky is back with her new Squares challenge, the theme this time around is Perspectives; and Charlie is back with his WorldWatercolorMonth challenge of 31 watercolours in 31 days.
I know that I will not be able to contribute to either challenge every day in July, but will do so whenever I can.
The rules for both challenges are simple: For Becky’s, the main photo in the post has to be square and feature some kind of perspective. For Charlie’s, just paint, paint, paint – in watercolour!
I’ve combined both challenges for this post. I painted a sunrise or sunset (you decide!) and included the paintbrush!
Links to both challenges are below, if you’d like to have a go at taking part in either, or both!
Love the addition of paintbrush . . . I am going to go for sunset in this one

I agree with you, Becky. It is more sunset than -rise. The brush adds yet another perspective! 🙂

I think so too… it takes one’s eye away from the painting! 😂🤣 Hehehe!

It speak of a sun setting to me 🙂
I do like a well done watercolour and Doodlewash is a great site. I ghost-wrote a couple of articles which were published on there a few years ago when I was working for an artist.

I think it more a sunset too, Chris.
If you like a well done watercolour, you’ll not like mine… mine are just ‘done’ and some are even unfinished! 😂🤣 I like to try though…
Charlie got me into painting watercolour a few years ago, and I’m sure I’d get better at it with more practice. That pesky time crops up once again!

Yep. Practice is always the key… I’m told you shouldn’t ‘overwork’ a watercolour, so unfinished could be good.
Stay loose 😉

I tend to rush and overwork… I need to relax more when I’m painting… maybe that’s the key to control time as well! 😄
