And now, the third and final video for my mini Feel Good Weekend series. This time, the featured song is by Noah and the Whale, “Give a Little Love”.
The video, as the other two featured over the past weekend, show many people doing little things for other people that makes a difference.
I Feel Good watching them.
I want to be able to do more good things for other people. I want to help others, and in doing so improve my own life, in particular my own perceptions of life, and I want to eradicate the areas which I class as ‘dark’… those areas that are like carbuncles to an all round better life experience.
I want to be able to feel more connected with the world, and the people who, at present, probably don’t even know that I exist. Not that I want fame (Heavens to Murgatroyd no!), or even thanking for helping for that matter. Just a nod or a smile will do. Or a grunt… or maybe not.
I just want to do it because I can.
I just want to do it in the hope that others follow suit.
I just want to do it so that I can stand up and say “You know what? This world is a great place. It’s not all the doom and gloom that we’re constantly being told it is.”
Individually, I CAN make a difference. Collectively, we can make a bigger difference. And that collective difference doesn’t have to be a bad one either. I remember during the riots this country was afflicted and blighted by a few years ago, in several towns and cities across the land, groups of people gathered with their brushes and mops to tidy up. They were being defiant to the rioters, but they were also making a difference together.
Goodness shines out during bad or evil acts… but I don’t think we really need to wait for an atrocity to occur before we can be good.
Act good now.
Feel Good now.
My normal nonsense posts will resume tomorrow. They’re an escape, you see…
Oh, and remember, you can still have a hug! Take it and share!
