Well, it had to happen!
Friday 13th December, the highlight of my Christmas social calendar for this year.
Friday 13th December, I awoke suddenly full of a cold, with no warning for it the day or night before… thank you very much.
However, dosed up with cold and flu medication, I went out for the evening regardless and had a fabulous time. I even danced. And fell over.
The third fall was the worst, where I severely hurt my right shoulder with a bruise covering half of my chest. Ouch. But never mind.

Saturday 14th December, I was still full of the cold, and walking gingerly around with shoulder desperately trying to heal itself. Did you know that coughing with a sore shoulder really hurts? I’ve learned that again and again over the past few days.
Today, though, it’s all good. The cold is all but gone, and the shoulder mostly healed. I’m still taking things easy… but why not?
So, here we are at Christmas week.
I’ll just run through the songs I gave cryptic clues for at the beginning of the month.
1 Fancy Partridge The Twelve Days of Christmas
2 Buckaw!!! The Twelve Days of Christmas again
3 If only they had camels We Three Kings of Orient Are
4 Early Arrivals I Saw Three Ships
5 Hush Now, It’s Evening Silent Night
6 Ringing in the ears Jingle Bells
7 Galway Sound The Fairytale of New York
8 Rum Pum Par Rum Pum The Little Drummer Boy
9 Deep and Crispy Good King Wenceslas
10 Listen to that! Do you hear what I hear?
11 Koff! Koff! Little Donkey
12 It’s that time! Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
13 Dreams Can Come True White Christmas
14 Outlook Winter Wonderland
May I wish you all a Fabulous Christmas and New Year.
I’m continuing with my Christmas Blogging Break now, and will be back early in 2025, hopefully with a renewed blogging vigour. The foxes and bunnies will be here as usual at New Year.
Enjoy the holiday period and I will see you next time.
