Well, that was another week… and a bit! June 7th 2019

It’s been three weeks since I last posted one of these Friday posts – how quickly time flies!

In that time, I’ve been resurrected on the internet and the telephone network, which was a blessing – it felt like an eternity, and my mobile phone bills will now come down now that I no longer need to use them to read the things I need to read on line.

In my time away we have began a search for a new prime minister, and in looking at the on-line news sites (I know I keep vowing never to do this again, but I always find myself veering back after asking the question ‘I wonder what’s happening in the world?’ – quite possibly the worst question to ask when one is trying to avoid all of the negativity in the world – but hey ho! it is what it is), and one of our national broadcasters, who advertise the fact that they are ‘impartial and fair’ then went on to describe Donald Trump’s recent meeting with the ‘lamest of lame ducks prime ministers Theresa May’. Hardly very fair and impartial. I shall not name the broadcasting corporation involved, but this one article brought home the fact just how media manipulates and tries to steer its audience. Obviously, I knew this was the case all along, but this was the final proof for me, if proof was needed. I’ve taken a screenshot of the text just to keep for prosperity.

Well, you never know! I do like to collect odd things!

I’ve been getting the urge to paint once again – but it has stayed as an urge up to now. I start to make a move to get going, and then the gusto just gets up and goes. I have to start soon, though, as I want to create quite a few watercolours for next month and the earlier I start the better. (The better it is for me to throw away the really bad ones and start again, but we shan’t go down that path in this post!)

In other news, my hair is looking fantastic. Oops, sorry. I’m leading you down the garden path there… the very same path that I ventured down seconds before,  only to find myself being dragged, backwards, through a bramble hedge, did I mention backwards? Luckily, the brambles and prickles and sharp bits only rearranged my hair, giving it a ‘fantastic’ look – where the ‘fantastic’ actually is in the realms of fantasy. It’s remarkable how one person’s hair can stick out and bend in any random number of angles and ways by its own accord, but mine manages it with a plum. Hehehe.

I’m joining Ernest next week to visit my favourite artist sites, to once again find links to their posts in next week’s ‘this week’ post, so together we should have some posts top link to then. We may even venture out a bit into another realm… although we shall see as time is still of the essence around here.

Summer’s turned into torrential rain today with the most fabulous thunder. Only the odd clap or two, but it is still fabulous when it claps like that. I find myself wondering what I’ve done to receive such a rapturous applause, and then I realise it isn’t only for me, but for all of us. And then I REALLY wonder what we’ve done to receive it. And looking at what I see at present causes my mind to go blank. Sigh.

I MUST alter my view of the world.

No more negative news.

No more negative views.

I’m only looking for goodness now, so bring it on!

And that’s it for this week’s up. It can’t really be described as a round-up, so up will have to do!

(Oh, and I will try to reply to all of the recent comments over the weekend as well… )

Do a painting Tom, I long to paint again but apart from finger painting on my iPad which is no where near as satisfying as painting on my big screen I’m unable to at this moment in time. I thought about purchasing an apple pro but they cost a fortune and I can’t really concentrate for long periods at a time without 😴😴😴 So I have to have patience and hope that I don’t forget how to paint 😳

A nice, ‘chatty’ post, Tom. Glad everything is again up and running. My ‘water colour days’ seem to be behind me too; wish they would return, but the new book I’m writing is taking too l o n g. Onwards and upwards.

Thanks, Prenin, yes, I get that. The thing is, when I finally get my act together to actually get going, I find myself out of time! Sigh!
      Still, it’s all fun! 😀
