Weather

Whether the weather be good
Or whether the weather be not
Whatever the weather be
Is whatever the weather we got!

I’m not sure if I remember this little rhyme from a long time ago, or have just made it up, but there it is! Posted for Debbie’s One Word Sunday… the theme, Weather.

Odd looking little fellow…Makes me think of the wolf in red riding hood “What big eyes you have” “all the better to see you with”…Wonder if he bites or stings? VK

Certainly friendly, VK. All the critters in those bushes were! I got too close to a bee once with my camera and it just flew towards me suddenly to tell me to back off, and when I moved back slightly it carried on doing what it was doing. It didn’t really mind me being there, just not too close… just like the bedraggled chap in the photo!

Compound eyes… they can see everything multiple times over!

I don’t think he’ll be able to do anything in that condition, VK… he’d just been pummelled in a torrential downpour! 😀

I think he is just a housefly… or a bluebottle.

I suppose they must be used to being out in the rain, Debbie, but to them the raindrops could be almost as large as their bodies! That must become wearying after a while!

That wee creature looks like he’s got a hat on, Tom.
The sun has got his hat on
    Hip hip hip hip hooray
The sun has got his hat on
And he’s coming out to play!

      He does, Jo, doesn’t he?
The sun here’s got his hat, coat, gloves, balaclava, and thermals on! He’s still trying to play out though! 🌞

Happy New Year, Isadora. I’ve just taken another little impromptu blogging break, so I’m just catching up now. I used to love seeing those critters in the ivy; this one’s red eyes were very prominent. It can’t be my photography skills…
Oh, and thank you for your New Year wishes… here’s to good times. 🙂

No worries, Tom. I’m blogging slower since my positive Covid test. It knocked me out. My energy levels have not come back yet. I keep trying to convince myself, that we will be a normal people once again soon.

I’ve just read your post, Isadora, I was able to like it, but not leave a comment there, so I’ll do so here…
Sorry to hear covid’s affected you again (please notice no capital, I did that deliberately), and I hope you’ll be back to full strength very soon. Your line about not being alone spoke to me… and you’re so right in the fact we should be more observant to those who come into our lives.
          Take it easy, Isadora. 🙂
