A Very Quick Dance for Saturday

The rhythm took me one way
My legs went the other
The swirling lights were startling
Making it seem tougher
I arched my back in elegance
Through strains of music loud
And I don’t think anyone noticed
When I tumbled to the ground

    Love the image, wonderfully colorful. Your words remind me of a time in the past when I was dancing one moment, and fallen of the floor in the next. I was about 19 at the time. Can’t dance anymore, but the last time I did, it was with my favorite Auntie, and we both needed canes to do so. We were laughing so hard, we had to sit down to catch our breath. Thank you for the memory.

    I was named after her and was the wee flower girl at her wedding. She passed away a few years ago and I miss her. So thanks again for the memories….
