Kinda Bobbin’!

As it’s approaching Halloween, I thought I’d share a bobbing photo for Becky’s KindaSquare challenge. Only, instead of apple bobbing, I’ve gone for duck bobbing instead. I’m sure this duck found what she was looking for… which I presume probably wasn’t apples!

Shy Tufty…In search of somewhere to hide…. VK

Tufty is the type of duck who would leap out of the water to plunge beneath the surface, VK… and then re-emerge over on the other side of the Lake! This is just one of the other ‘normal’ ducks, who’s happy just bobbing her head! πŸ˜€

Bobbin Duck wouldn’t make a good song title …. nor would Bobbin Duckin or Duckin Bobbin ….. therefore, Kinda Bobbin works.

Kinda Bobbin’ lends itself to a more user friendly rhyme as well, Frank! πŸ™‚πŸ˜Š

Maybe she is after an apple. My hen is very partial to a piece!

It is possible, Chris. They eat anything, ducks!

I thought hens just lived off seeds… but then, in the wild they wouldn’t. I’ve never met any hens, so it’s something that hasn’t crossed my mind before. Always learning. Always good!

I don’t like my head going under water, so this is probably one of my earliest fears! 😳

We have a child’s birthday two days after Halloween – so we annually attempt apple bobbing. Might give it a miss this year though. Maybe we should go and watch the local ducks bobbing instead!!

πŸ˜€ It’s entertaining, Sarah, but becomes much of a muchness after the first five or six times!

Thanks, Jo. It’s slightly tweaked, but I like how it turned out.

The ducks and geese on the Lake aren’t bothered by people, Lisa, and I’m sure they’ve started posing for photos! They are fascinating to watch… all birds, that is!

Yeah, there are a lot of birds out there that are getting used to people being around. I saw a Pied-billed Grebe on Saturday that was in the middle of the pond and eventually made its way almost to the edge where I was. Got some pretty good pics. There were no other birds in the pond. Weird! πŸ™‚

Birds tend to do that for us, don’t they?

Some have learned to wait until we are just about to take the photo to move or fly away! They do it deliberately! πŸ™‚

Yep! Or they sing and sing and sing, but stay hidden as to tease us while we crick our necks looking up to get a glimpse of never seeing them. LOL! πŸ™‚

Ducks can be highly amusing Tom.

There was a video shared on Facebook of a duck being attacked by a young Tiger.

The Tiger would pounce, the duck would dive and re-appear behind the frustrated Tiger! πŸ™‚ ❀

    Have a great day! πŸ™‚ ❀

    Blessed Be! πŸ™‚ ❀
