Apparently I met Sir Bernard Lovell back when it was just the telescope and the arboretum, I’d be 6yo. at the time! 🙂 ❤

These days it has a visitors centre and I really enjoyed the experience.

Well worth the entry fee!!! 🙂 ❤

Oh the sweet sights of home! I used to cycle all the way to Jodrell Bank with my friend many moons ago, often gaining punctures re-route and road side repairs or bouncing over the handlebars on the country lanes! My mum’s living in Nantwich now -she was born in Holmes Chapel. The pic with the country lane takes me back to those trips there to see the grandparents and the telescope was my greatest thrill! Your photos are great, I have some from my last visit right up close. We also went to Mars that day from the visitors centre! 😉

  Glad you like the photos and have good memories, Icewolf. I am going to have to visit there in person one day (and that is one day soon, if the pesky virus is listening), so I can get some closer photos. And visit Mars that way too, rather than the usual way I go there! 😃
