Moon on the Horizon: Digital Painting

From the realms of my imagination, I pictured the Moon overlooking a water-filled crater, or lake, cutting through the clouds. The Moon reflecting on the rippling waters below, creating a calming effect all around.

Well, it calmed me painting it!

Digitally painted for Six Word Saturday.

I can hear gentle waves lapping at the edge of that dark lake…

Indeed, Chris. With a gentle echo that carries on the breeze.

I love the contrast between the B & W images.
Soothing words for a calm Saturday morning, Tom.

Thanks again Isadora. I think I prefer the black and white version, being honest! 🤔

Me too, Tom. I’m beginning to enjoy B & W photography more and more when I photograph. 😎

I think black and white opens the imagination a little more, Isadora. And adds just a hint of mystery too!

Aaahhh … mystery. I think that might be it. There’s more to focus on in order to view the images in the photo. 👍
Last November, before the quarentine, I went to a famous B&W photographers gallery. He specialzes in photographs from the Evergales in Florida. You may enjoy seeing his awesome photos. I could only afford a t-shirt with one of his orchid photos and notecards … lol

I’ve had a quick look now, Isadora, and the photos I’ve seen are very dramatic… especially the clouds. I shall have another look later! 🙂

I’m watching the sun set at Stonehenge, Tom. Virtually of course, but a nice enough experience. Happy Midsummer’s Day 🙂 🙂

I like it! Hard to believe it’s digitally painted – it looks like it was hand-done. 🙂
