Bonsai Dreams

A quick twenty-minute (or so) abstract which turned into Bonsai Dreams… well, that’s what I saw when the colours started coming together.

They are definitely intricate, Beverly – fascinating to look at!

Impressive expressionism 😊 I’d call it a rainbow tree seeking higher power. 😎

A worthy interpretation, Isadora! It certainly appears to be reaching for something!

He would probably say it looks more like a mind map, Becky… that, or a slice of coloured cauliflower!

      Aw, thanks, Diane!
I just ‘do’ and let them do themselves, without thinking… when I don’t have the time, that is. With time, I tend to overthink things.

Maybe that’s my problem! I did do a painting a couple of weeks ago where I just threw paint on the paper and then made it into something afterward, and I was surprisingly pleased with the result. It was nowhere near as good as yours, but it was pretty darn good for me. 😉

I’m sure yours is even better than you think, Diane. 🙂

Aw, that’s lovely, Tom. Very spiritual in colour(s). Maybe this is a reflection of what’s going on inside you. … or was going on inside, at the time you painted it. It looks restful, gentle, calm, warm, secure and . . . it has a feeling of love about it.

    Well done, you clever chap!

Thanks, Cobs… and you’re right. I was feeling very calm and relaxed when I painted this. I just used the colours (digitally, of course!) and watched it develop. I had no clue at the beginning where it would end up, but that’s the epitome of going with the flow! 😀

Lovely Bonsai 🙂 Looks a lot healthier than the one my housemate brought home which lasted a few weeks then ended up a bunch of dead twigs!! Definitely not a Bonsai dream! More like a Bonsai nightmare! 😉

Thanks, Icewolf. Bonsai nightmares seem to have a dark edge to them.
