Wordle: Do(ugh)nuts

Itโ€™s a stormy debate
That doesnโ€™t mar the taste
And the silence of a few letters doesnโ€™t help
You still fry the batter
Which way โ€“ doesnโ€™t matter
Whole or with a hole, please yourself
The star of the show
Is a sweet round of dough
A glorious gift filled with all manner of guilt
Draft a line in the sand
Decide where you stand
And then use your choice up to the hilt
Some use the โ€˜ughโ€™
Whereas others do notโ€ฆ
The charge being neither is wrong
Donut or doughnut
Just donโ€™t eat a lot
Youโ€™ll feel wired and not very strong!

This post is also in response to a little mini challenge set by Sharon over at Make Artโ€ฆ Magic Happens.

I take it you like doughnuts then, Beverly? I like them, but I can only eat one (at a time!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hehehehehe…I use the “ugh” in the donut especially when I overload on it ๐Ÿ˜› Isn’t it UK spelling with the “ugh” and the US without it? Either ways, that poem was brilliant!

I believe it was always spelt with the ‘UGH’ until a chain of shops opened without it, and then it has been used either way.
Pleased you liked the poem, Shree. ๐Ÿ™‚
