Yesterday’s Sun

This is lunchtime on Monday 16th October 2017. This is a photograph of the Sun. This is the day various elements combined to create a most eerie phenomenon. And an ideal opportunity to photograph the Sun itself. Not very often that happens!

Yeah it was oppressive Monday morning as I headed for bed.

Iberian forest smoke and Sahara sand – shows how closely intertwined we all are!!! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

I agree, Prenin. We are closer than we think.

We get that kind of thing sometimes when there has been major volcanic activity

It’s odd for us to get that kind of phenomena here, Raili… some parts of the UK had totally red skies.

This was a side-effect of the storm, Beverly… we were actually in the sidelines of the storm as well, as it just clipped us – Ireland, Wales and parts of Scotland felt more of the brunt. But you’re right – it has been VERY stormy of late.

Eerie, Samantha. And strangely quiet as well… in fact, the same atmosphere as the eclipse…

I jumped at the chance to take the photo, Elaine, but it was more red and darker in real life.
I’m in England as well, by the way – in Cheshire!

Lol, it was spectacular and red but my iPad didn’t do it justice. 😊
