Wordle: Longing

Emotions flow like rivers
Epic thoughts blow in and out in gusts
List after list of questions or needs appear
Should I? Shouldn’t I?
I hesitate.
Would you?
Feelings dump themselves upon me
Trying to hammer home what they need
What I need
It’s late and I can’t think straight
Dreams too come into the frame
Give me a sense of what it could be like
But
No.
I must protect myself

Like I would you, if only you knew.

The eternal struggle of what the heart wants, and the fear which comes from over-thinking the subject matter.
May I suggest an old Middle English saying from many years ago: “Faint heart ne’er won fair maiden”.

Or maybe put more simply: If you don’t try, you’ll never know.

    If it’s just a poem, it’s beautiful.
However if it’s a feeling which has been given words, then all you have to do next time you’re in the situation of her being in the right place, and you being in that place too…. simply ask her if she fancies trying out that coffee place because you’ve never been to it and kind of feel daft going by yourself.

Now what could be more simple than that!
    Do it Tom.

Fine advice, Cobs, and thank you.
This was just a poem though… based upon a dream I had last night. The feelings are real, the person not. Deep, hey? 😉

Ooooh… sounds kind of like a nice dream – apart from you not being able to connect with her.
Do you know anyone who is a dream interpreter? I have this sort of ticklish feeling inside me that I remember one of your followers mentioning something about a dream you had. Just can’t remember who.

Yes … deep. Maybe we need a shovel. 😉

I think the comment you are referring to has something to do with my Lion Cub Spirit Guide that I remember meeting in a dream once. Last night’s dream was lovely. And vivid. And erm, clear… up to a point.

Ohhhh, the Lion Cub Spirit Guide …[nods] yes, could be. OK… we have to find a dream thing on tinternet.

Last nights dream sounds like something I would have woken up smiling about.
I’ll brush over the vivid, because that can go in a different direction and as we all know … I’m way too young for things of a different direction. [cough] 🤗

It was more intense ‘feel-y’ rather than ‘do-y’, emotion-wise. Phew. Told you it was deep. Worked well with the Wordle words, though, I don’t mind tellin’ ya! 😀

Aw thank you. Sometimes, it’s all about timing.

Once upon our consciences were the best guide but today so many different standards apply and we seem to adopt a pack instinct of following others to our cost.

So true, Oldegg… and so confusing as well.

Terrific mystic sense of what is left ‘unknown’ and the protection of the other from the voice of the poet. Kudos!

    Hi Tom! 🙂

Cob’s got a good point: My dreams are so vivid I often wake up confusing dreams with real events. 🙂

If you find a dream interpreter maybe they can cast a light although dreams have rules all their own! 🙂

The ones where I’m running around Middleton on a wet night wearing just underwear are weird enough for anyone!!! LoL!!! 😉

    God Bless!

      😯 I haven’t had that dream myself, Prenin…
My dreams are very vivid as well, crystal clear in fact, but there’s always something that keeps the experience as a dream. It’s most odd.
