Wordle: Camping Nightmare

The tattered tent
Rooted rigorously
Lashed at length
By the sudden storm
Curved and creased
Dusty drunk
Still standing slyly
Snatching a second
Through the storm’s sheer strength
As a single spark
Of lightning lands
Bright and Belligerent
The scene is spun
And in a blink,
Bashed and blown
The tent is torn
And still continues the storm

Definitely a camping nightmare! The storm cares naught for tents. Or campers. I love the cadence of this piece.

So, we are both camping in inclement weather this week Tom! A hotel for the night maybe?

    Come Whirl with me!

Must be a most frightful experience where it should be an enjoyable stint!

They’re fun to watch by a cosy fireside, Prenin. An indoor one, I hasten to add!

Ah storms…so many times I feel like we tend to forget the force of Mother Nature. I mean..it’s there..the knowledge..we hear about it in the news…but..it doesn’t seem to stay with us..this feeling of being awestruck….does that make sense?

It does, Shree. We do forget about Nature’s devastating power rather quickly. Most odd, that.
