Letters to the Universe… The Mid Blog Break Edition!

Dear Summer,
Nice of you to call by early once again, gracing us with your fabulous presence. You’re just a tad warm right now as we aren’t meant to be casting any clouts until May’s out, but I’ve had to cast a fair few clouts over the past few days, which hasn’t really helped any.

Dear Gentle Breeze,
Thank goodness for small mercies!

Dear People,
Honestly. Sometimes, just sometimes, you make me hang my head in despair and ask ‘why?’.

Dear Weekend,
It’s lovely that you are upon us once again, and as we have a Bank Holiday you are even longer this time around! Fantastic! And the weather is set to turn a little cooler, which is a blessing (for me!) right now.

Dear Waist,
Who told you to spread so wide? Who gave you permission to fill out a bit? The way you make my trousers fold over is very unflattering, I have no problem in telling you.

Dear Blogland,
As you may have guessed, I’m taking an unscheduled break from blogging to readjust and bring things back into order. Well, a slightly better order than they were, that is. I will be back as soon as possible, but will try to ‘pop up’ here and there until I am able to be back fully.

Dear Satellite Navigation System,
Can I just scream at you? Why tell me to take the third exit of a roundabout and NAME THE ROAD then a few seconds later tell me to make a U-turn? It’s a good thing that on a previous journey you had directed me the correct way so I knew I was heading the correct way, even if you didn’t!

Dear Neck,
Is that a real pain in you, or is somebody getting on my wick?

Dear Relaxing Meditation Music on You Tube,
Thank goodness for small mercies!

Dear Inner Artist,
Just hold on in there… we’ll do something very soon!

And to finish… Dear All,
Remember there is far more good within us.

Thank you for reading!

P.S. Here’s a photograph of my Peace Candle to finish. Just because:

Well, I think we need a little more just now. Just to be sure.

Re SatNav – while in UK been there, done that. Repeatedly.
The best, though, was after a ‘take third exit’ when came ‘board ferry’.
Shocked reaction: ‘Who told you to take us to France?’
    Have fun.

I think it has something to do with how close together our roads are, Col. The satellite triangulatum thingy gets its logarithms mixed up and thinks we are heading a different way on a different road, sometimes to a different country! It has no qualms about directing us over fields.

That and the fact that the programmers did that section after a night on the tiles, perhaps?

Oh yes! And they were there with the road planners as well, just to add to the confusion.

As long as we keep sharing it, Beverly, that’s all we can do. We will make our own differences.

Dear Tom, thank you for another fabulous blog post.
In such a relatively short time, I’ve come to genuinely look forward to reading your Friday letters post.

It seems that all my favourite blog people are all one by one having a blog break and I’m beginning to grieve for the loss of some really great reads.
I hope that you aren’t away for long, and that you feel re-juvenated very soon and are back posting again.

Thank you for some fabulous reads Tom. It’s been such a joy.
Take very good care of yourself. ~ Cobs.

Don’t worry, Cobs, I won’t be away too long – I love writing and blogging too much to stay away! Look – I’m replying to comments and I’m on my break now (although I did have rather a lot to reply to truth be told. Sorry)
I’m just gathering space, thoughts and inspiration, and a rest is as good as a change or words to that effect.
And thank you, by the way, for your fabulous comment. This is why blogging is so good.

Yeah … I know. Most of ’em were mine! LOL.

All work and no play makes Tom bored!!! 🙂

Have a nice break and chill with a can or six! 🙂

I can relate to the waistline problem: I’m dieting, eating less than half of what I used to and STILL my weight doesn’t drop below 15.5Stone!!! 😦

    God Bless!

    Prenin.
