Letters to the Universe… The Mid Blog Break Edition!

Dear Summer,
Nice of you to call by early once again, gracing us with your fabulous presence. You’re just a tad warm right now as we aren’t meant to be casting any clouts until May’s out, but I’ve had to cast a fair few clouts over the past few days, which hasn’t really helped any.

Dear Gentle Breeze,
Thank goodness for small mercies!

Dear People,
Honestly. Sometimes, just sometimes, you make me hang my head in despair and ask ‘why?’.

Dear Weekend,
It’s lovely that you are upon us once again, and as we have a Bank Holiday you are even longer this time around! Fantastic! And the weather is set to turn a little cooler, which is a blessing (for me!) right now.

Dear Waist,
Who told you to spread so wide? Who gave you permission to fill out a bit? The way you make my trousers fold over is very unflattering, I have no problem in telling you.

Dear Blogland,
As you may have guessed, I’m taking an unscheduled break from blogging to readjust and bring things back into order. Well, a slightly better order than they were, that is. I will be back as soon as possible, but will try to ‘pop up’ here and there until I am able to be back fully.

Dear Satellite Navigation System,
Can I just scream at you? Why tell me to take the third exit of a roundabout and NAME THE ROAD then a few seconds later tell me to make a U-turn? It’s a good thing that on a previous journey you had directed me the correct way so I knew I was heading the correct way, even if you didn’t!

Dear Neck,
Is that a real pain in you, or is somebody getting on my wick?

Dear Relaxing Meditation Music on You Tube,
Thank goodness for small mercies!

Dear Inner Artist,
Just hold on in there… we’ll do something very soon!

And to finish… Dear All,
Remember there is far more good within us.

Thank you for reading!

P.S. Here’s a photograph of my Peace Candle to finish. Just because:

Well, I think we need a little more just now. Just to be sure.

Letters to the Universe… The Rushed Edition!

Dear Tufty,
Good to see you on the Lake again today, and what a pleasure it was to see Mrs Tufty with you! I did try to take some photos of you both together, but you seemed a little coy! Will we be seeing a hatch of Master and Miss Tuftys with you shortly? I’ll keep my camera handy.

Dear Machu Picchu,
You do look like a fascinating place, and one I hope to be able to visit one day. Until I get there, I will always enjoy the snippets I see of you when you crop up from time to time around here.

Dear Certain People In Charge,
Please stop whining and just get on with your tasks in hand. You really aren’t sending out confident, positive messages when you constantly moan, and you aren’t doing yourselves any favours either.

Dear The Colour Blue,
Such a wonderful shade you are, and I find it most unbecoming to link you to feeling a little glum. That mood is more suited to be described as ‘grey’, but then that is doing the same disservice to the colour grey.

Dear The Colour Grey,
I apologise for comparing thee to a foul mood.

Dear Rhubarb And Custard,
What a delight you are together! Hot or cold you are c’est magnifique!

Dear Spell-Checker,
I was writing a couple of words in the French language a moment ago, so there was no need for you underline the words for me. Although your suggestion of ‘chest magnified’ may be quite fitting if copious amounts of rhubarb and custard were to be consumed.

Dear Nose,
Will you please heal so that you don’t bleed every time I have to blow you? During hay fever season it’s like a never ending battle with something or other running out of you…

Dear Bodily Functions,
There really is no nice and pleasant way to describe you, is there? Everything sounds gross, but you do have your jobs to do, so I’ll leave things there.

Dear Three-Ply Tissues,
Thank goodness for small mercies!

And to finish… Dear All,
Feel Good, and remember miracles happen every day. Just let the rhythm of your heartbeat remind you that it’s a miracle in itself simply being here. Live life and enjoy it!

Thank you for reading!

P.S. Here’s a photograph of the colour blue to finish. Just because:

Well, it’s quite a cheerful colour really, isn’t it? Just to be sure.

Fake News

Reports are coming in of a breaking news story that is fake. Numerous un-named sources from various high-ranking departments / companies / sectors and other non-descript bodies have all concurred to these current events. Concurrently, on the other side of the world, there are other unsubstantiated and extremely patchy bulletins being released that may or may not have links to the breaking news story here.

Tony (not his real name), a passer-by in the street, was asked for his opinion on this very relevant and concerning news story. He was in a hurry and could only mutter “I don’t have time for this nonsense”, as he walked on by, face distorted with a mixture of confusion and worry.

Dark clouds are gathering overhead as if in ominous agreement with the dark undertones that are being emitted with this as-it-is-happening event, details of which are still sketchy, and we are hoping for further details as and when they filter through. Proof that the story is breaking has been confirmed by two or three scientists working in the Southern Hemisphere. So, confirmation has been obtained in this major news-worthy event. Sorry, that should be UN-confirmed.

Analysts say they are concerned by this development, and are watching matters closely, although they are also saying that we should err on the side of caution until we are absolutely sure that this news story is breaking.

Further news will follow as and when it happens.

The authenticity of this story is currently unclear. Believe it or not.

It was Fabulous!

It was, wasn’t it?

Fabulous. That thing. You know…

I’m sure that it was.

We’re at the very Far End of Time itself. Right at the end. The only way we can look is back. There’s no future. No forwards. Nothing ahead.

All we can see are our memories. Our time here. What we’ve done, where we’ve been, how we’ve played our part. I’m sure it was fabulous.

We’ve gone right back now, right back to the very beginning. All we can see here is ahead. An empty canvas, waiting for us to fill with experiences, events, situations… when full, will we be able to look back on it and say ‘well, that was fabulous’? I’m sure we will, especially looking at our first perspective.

And finally we’re back in the now. In the current time. We have the future ahead, the past behind.

The direction we take from now on is our choosing.

Do we take the fabulous route? Do we want to?

Nothing is set in stone. Everything can change.

Change is good.

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

And be fabulous whilst you’re at it!
