Wordle: Unwelcome Advice

They doubt your authenticity
With your talk of love and pain
When you break away suddenly
To meet your own selfish gains
Gossip mongers chitter
Heads tilt with wild tales –
But I choose not to listen –
Lean instead to your better ways

Yes often the best person to talk and listen to is ourself – i liked the idea of ‘chitter heads’ (even though it’s separated in your poem:)

True, Jae. Only sometimes I have a nagging voice that I really do not want to listen to!

    Nice and economical!
Not sure I like the ‘mongerer’ even though some people use it. ‘Mongers’ says it, and I don’t think the line is poorer by losing a beat.

      Thanks, Col.
I’ve changed it, although ‘mongerers’ is how I speak. Must be my northern English!

That could be it. The further north one goes the more incomprehensible it gets until it deteriorates into shudder Scots! ๐Ÿ™‚

And just a wee bee further north it changes again into Icelandic! ๐Ÿ˜€

We are surrounded by gossips here.

Doreen is the worst – she never lets the truth get in the way of a juicy bit of slander!

    God Bless! ๐Ÿ™‚

When you know the difference between truth, gossip and fiction, then it’s all good. It’s when you don’t know when the problems start.

      Me, Prenin, I’m clueless! ๐Ÿ˜€

Yes, not to waste time over it. Lots of other things good about each other to bother about. Truly said Tom!
