One’s Still in a Grump!

Sigh.

I’m up and down like a yoyo this week. Monday, I was down, like really down, doing one of those yoyo walks along the floor things, more commonly known as Sleeper moves, apparently (or probably). Tuesday, I was up on high, like a Breakaway move, spinning around and being pushed back and forth. Today, I’m in a grump. The snapped string move. The my yoyo’s over there and my string is here move. The oops, I’ve forgotten my yoyo move.

I don’t know about yoyo though – it’s more like mojo, y’know?

My mojo’s a no show.

My yoyo show’s a no go, so a no mojo non-yoyo show’s a big blow. A great big one. Ho ho!

Up and down and round and round.

I know I’m in a grump. Everything we see around us reflects back to us. Gives us clues as to what we may need to change to move forward in a better direction.

I walked passed a young man this evening on a narrow pavement. He had those white ear plug things rammed inside his ears, and was listening to that tinny essing noise that everyone seems to be enjoying nowadays. Eyes steely forward, he walked towards me. The pavement was too narrow for the two of us to pass, so I stepped to one side. The miserable dude pouted pathetically as he ignored me on his walk by (trout pout, I must add!) and still staring forward, his eyes never altered. I actually thought he was sleepwalking and had painted his eyes on. The worst thing is, I couldn’t even tut loudly due to the essing coming out of his ears. Maybe the noise drowned out his grateful side… or common sense entirely. My, I’m grumpy.

Anyway, I don’t move to one side for thanks as it stands. I’m merely being polite.

I went for a walk around the Lake earlier, and as soon as I got there the geese had a huge fight with the heron. I don’t know what caused it, but they made such a ruckus, all of the ducks came quacking over from all directions to see what was going on. It didn’t last long, and then the calm of the Lake returned. Apart from one foghorn leghorn duck who was probably today’s designated gossip mongerer, repeating the news over and over again as our twenty-four hour news channels do here.

And the weather! What is going on with the weather? The mornings start off cool, like the Sleeper yoyo move, like way down. As the day goes on, the temperatures raise, so much so that in the evening walking outside is like walking into a heated greenhouse. Stuffy. That in turn makes folk feel hot under the collar. Grumpy.

Up and down and round and round.

Ah, well. I’ll be up again tomorrow. You mark my words.

For now, I’m going to get my Links Page sorted out. That’s a complete mess at the moment and I have no idea why. There – all sorted and it looks as good as new!

I’ll finish with a photo of the Lake’s heron, in quieter times…

It’s a bit blurry, but that’s fitting with today’s post!

Oh no! Grumpy days are rubbish, I’ve been a bit grumpy lately as I don’t like change and there’s been a few in my little world in the last week, some major, others less so. I’m right there with you on the weather, I just don’t know what to wear for work when I leave at 7:30am! Hope things cheer up for you (and stay cheerful!) very soon. 😊

Thanks, MrsCraft. Something must have been in the air, I feel… must be the evening heat. Yes, I’ll put it down o that!

I don’t mind Dreamwalkers, Sue… a very pleasant sort, if you ask me. Sleepwalkers are OK as well if they aren’t rude with it! 😀 I’m feeling more at ease now, thanks, Sue… more balanced! (And I’ve selected another theme now as well – I’d changed the font the last time you were here, now it’s all different. I’ll get this blog in balance soon as well, you just watch me!)

I’ve written a few posts in the past about various exploits; I’ll revisit them and enhance them for the modern age! Thanks for the suggestion! 😀

I hope the mojo no go has gone and the yo yo is yoyoing is behaving as all good yoyos should behave. Maybe it’s the time ‘tween equinoxes messing us all up ?!

Everything’s reached the happy mid point, Raili. Calm is restored! It must be that equinox thing, as you say.

Good to know the grumpy times are so short! 🙂

Love the Heron – beautiful birds!!! 🙂

Hope your week improves – it was 48% humidity yesterday and still 25.5’C in my bedroom despite two fans pumping cooler air into the place! 😦

God Bless my friend and I hope you feel happier soon! 🙂

    Prenin.

Short bursts indeed, Prenin. Well, a change is as good as a rest, I suppose!
Feeling much happier now, thank you.

I think I am in constant yo yo mode, up, down, round and round. It’s lovely to sit outside with a book on those warm evenings, they can keep coming for me.

I agree, Beverley – the warm evenings are nice to chill out in, but lately they’re arriving with heavy rain which is too warm to shut out! As long as they remain dry – yes, keep on coming!

Well, I’m grumpy because it’s been raining everyday since March. Oh fine, so rain isn’t bad some might say. Personally, I find it depressing. It’s gloomy and wet and damp and good for nothing but sleeping. If I wanted to live in rainy Seattle I would have moved there. Please come out and play SUNSHINE. PHEW … thank you, I feel so much better.
    Isadora 😎
p.s. yellow … really??? Let me know when I can be honest. 😁😳

It’s raining here now as well, Isadora, if that makes you feel any better. I don’t mind the rain, being honest. We have it with thunder and lightning right now, it’s very dramatic.
I’ve tweaked the yellow, so it’s now green. It’ll change agin soon, I’m sure! 😉 😎
